Darrell has his surgery scheduled for the 24!!! Its been 7 weeks waiting to have this done !! It will be done on an out patient basis just like everything in the medical field these days. We will spend the night in Springfield so we wont be so rushed with the long drive.
Darrell is so ready to get his hand fixed,,, he is still having allot of pain and will continue to have pain until the joint is stabilized.
People at work are teasing him that he "CUT" his hand just to take the summer off !!! Well there is surely better ways to take a vacation.
Dr Kubik is putting an artificial nuckle in his Proximal Interphalangeal joint. Its called PIP Arthroplasty. I cant wait till it in and healed !!!

God bless you with good healing after your surgery Darrell!
Hope it goes well!!
God's blessings Darrell :) Hope the surgery comes quick, and healing ends even quicker! My father in law just had knee replacement surgery...double replacement actually. It has been a long recovery but is doing much better just having it behind him. I keep telling him that next time we visit I am bringing over my Topricin cream. You oughta try it! You just rub it on the painful area and it really helps a lot! It is an all natural anti-inflammatory and it helps our family not feel like we have to constantly take oral pain meds. Seriously great! Anyway- I hope that all goes well for you :) Hang in there! Caroline *find me on twitter at smilinggreenmom
