I'm seeking input about this tough love thing.. It seams that it is the toughest on me !!! My daughter is grounded AGAIN from her car, phone and computer.
We only wanted one thing from her.. Not to see the boy that has caused her to become a different person. She continues to meet with him whenever possible. So now we have gotten even tougher!!! I'm ready to cave in because I cant stand to see her so upset!! Now she is in the ANGER stage.. don't you know that we are having a great summer here!!!
My daughter is not a bad person, she is just struggling between being a child and an adult. Lord help us thru this phase.

I don't think you have anything to worry about. She's being a teenager! She has a good head on her shoulders. It's going to get harder before it gets better. The more you say "NO", the more she will fight you! It's normal. Stay strong. She won't be mad at you forever. And make sure she knows how much you love her and only want the best for her. She may not like it, but tough. You're the parent.
It's because we have lived the years and been there that we can see where this is going. She can't see that and love is blind-- to faults and deceptions. We try to give them advice from our experiences. Keep your chin up and stick to your guns. One day she will thank you for it... It may be years down the line but she will eventually see that you only had her best interests at heart. Tough love is just that--tough, for her and for you!!
