HOLD ON TO YOUR HAT!!!! THIS IS A HUG BLOG POST!!! PROGRESO WAS AMAZING!! I LOVED THE SERENITY OF THE BEACH!!THE COMMUNITY WAS VERY POOR. LOCAL HOUSING LOOKED LIKE HUTS BUILT ALONG THE SWAMP WATERS NEXT TO THE BEAUTIFUL BEACHES ONLY A FEW FEET AWAY ??? THE CHILDREN WERE PLAYING BAREFOOT WITHOUT A CARE IN THE WORLD..SUCH A BEAUTIFUL DAY,IT WAS PARTLY CLOUDY AND 78 DEGREES!!

we found this little beach of beachfront homes!! all the little boats were tied to the shore, I just loved them!!! i took so many pic of them!! I COULDN'T HELP IT

This is Darrell's least favorite part of the cruise.. I look forward to it, the food selection is superb and the service is unreal!!The lobster ans Shrimp were excellent!! I also had the best stuffed mushrooms covered with a red sauce and cheese!!! And my all time favorite Hot Chocolate molten cake a la mode!!!! WOW

Going on this cruise with a group of great friends made each moment special!! Dinner was the time we would meet and share our adventures of the day!! Our motto is what happens on the ship stays on the ship!!!

A DAY AT SEA FOLLOWED BY A DAY AT PROGRESSO MEXICO

 

HERE IS DARRELL ENJOYING THE WARM WEATHER ON THE BOW OF THE SHIP. Its about 80 degrees the sun and the ocean are so beautiful.

 

DEPOTRING IN PROGRESSO. We rented Jeeps to explored the whole Island, it was beautiful!! We walked along the shore and collected seashells, looked at all the local beach houses and dreamed of oneday calling it home!!! we can dream anyway!!!

LOVED HAVING THE CABIN SERVICE!!! AND BEING SPOILED EVERY DAY!!

boy oh boy!!!! ... I have a lotta catching up to do!!!

we've been on vacation for the last week and it was simply wonderful!!!! I'm editing photos and unpacking all at the same time so stay tuned to here about our Cruise to progresso and Cozumel!!!

 

After a night out in New Orleans we are now headed down the river walk to board our ship.. This is the Mississippi River behind me!! It was amazing to think that this area was demolished a few years back by Katrina!!! New Oreleans is alive and well!!

my cancer survival tips!!..ARIMIDEX...LIMBREL BUTTERMILK

I'm now six months post chemotherapy and radiation!!!
My hair has grow back and I can almost sleep thru the night without waking up wonder and worrying. Cancer brings a lot of guilt with it!! as well as fear and the sense of loss. It makes you take a long look at your life to see if you really measure up to your potential!!


"BUTTERMILK IS MY FRIEND"
for the next 5 years I get to take this wonderful drug called "ARIMIDEX" its saving my life but trying to kill me in the process!!!! This medication causes osteoarthritis IN my knees, hips, back, and feet. and it also causes muscle aches all over my body.... like the flu feels!!! yeah, cant you tell I LOVE IT.

SO to treat the side effects of Arimidex I now GET to take LINBREL!!!! this is a wonderful drug also, but it causes upset stomach , ulcers and GI BLEED!!!
IT TOOK ONLY 2 PILLS TO TELL THAT MY STOMACH COULDN'T HANDEL IT!!! SO MY MOTHER SUGGESTED DRINKING A SMALL GLASS OF BUTTERMILK WITH MY MEDS!! OMG IT WORKS!!!!!! NOW I CAN TAKE MY VERY EXPENSIVE MEDS THAT I NEED, TAKE ANOTHER FOR THE SIDE EFFECTS AND A LITTLE BUTTERMILK MAKES IT ALL POSSIBLE:) MOMS ALWAYS KNOWS BEST!!

 

HERE I AM WITH NO HAIR!!!HAD FUN WEARING FUN HATS!!!AND COOl SHADES

 

WOULDNT TAKE A MOMENT OF IT BACK!!I LIVE TO THE FULLEST EACH AND EVERY DAY, JUST LIKE WE ARE SUPPOSED TO BUT ARE OFTEN TIMES TO BUSY!!

5 WAITED,and waited FOR HER TO GO TO THE OR

6 SAW A LOT OF GOOD FRIENDS THAT i used to work with and caught up on the scoop!!

7 drove home in the freezing cold it was 24 degrees {burr}

8 took off my scrubs and put on "old faithful"

9 took my medications with buttermilk (YUCK) but it works!!

10 checked out my poor lonely blog that no one leaves a comment on!!!

MOM IS HAVING SURGERY THIS WEEK!!!!

Mom was a little nervous this weekend!! She had a lot of restless energy!!So we cooked, shopped in Mt Home and had pedicures, she even came over and helped pack and IRONED all our clothes for our cruise(i cant stand to iron)

The Eagles awareness was a hit,,, mom took the tour on Bull Shoals Lake and saw a beautiful Eagle. The weather was beautiful!! a little cold but the sun was so nice!!

mom will be having surgery at brmc in Mt Home on Tuesday!! I trust that all will go well. When she comes home she will be a lady of leisure for sure,,she will have very strict restrictions for 6 weeks. can you imagine not doing anything for 6 weeks???? Carla is the one who is gonna take care of her the most,she even has her a little bell beside her bed to ring for help!! She is gonna be so spoiled!!

 

 

 

9 DAYS UNTIL OUR CRUISE :)

I'M GETTING SO EXCITED!! PLAN ON PACKING TODAY!! ITS ABOUT 30 DEGREES TODAY WITH A LOW IN THE 20S TONIGHT!!WHAT A PERFECT DAY TO SPEND AT HOME!! DARRELL IS SITTING IN FRONT OF THE FIREPLACE WATCHING TV AND DRINKING COFFEE.. IVE BEEN SCRAP BOOKING THIS MORNING AND JUST TAKING IT EASY!! TONIGHT WE ARE COOKING SEAFOOD THAT CHASE AND ASHLEY BROUGHT FROM FLORIDA!!! MOM AND DAD ARE COMING OVER TOO!! SOUNDS GREAT!!

As a mother of a 16 year old daughter its hard to know when to hold on tight and when to allow her some space. With her being my baby its harder for me to let her grow up!! this year alone she has come to milestones in her life, driving, dating, her mother dealing with cancer. Yet she remains so steady and sure!! I find it so hard to allow her to do all the things that MOST 16 year old do..She has yet to break a promise or do anything that she shouldn't be doing.. I raised her with good christian values and I see her choose to abide by them.. Is it normal for me to worry so much about her?? I don't want to push her away or make her rebel.. Now the hardest part of all is giving her a little more freedom! I will always be here for her. She is my daughter. I pray for the guidance to know what to do. Iv always said the most important role that I have In life is being a mother, God clearly gave us instructions on raising children. I love her so much!!She is such a joy and blessing to me!! I think that part of me is not ready to share her with the world, I still want to protect her and keep her safe, this will probably never change.
I love to look at her photos and see the joy and MAGNIFICENT "spark" that she has!!

COZUMEL HERE WE COME!!

I'm very excited about a trip that we have coming up with a BIG group of our friends!!

Ten of us are heading to New Orleans and boarding a cruise ship to Cozumel and Progreso. I'm really looking forward to some 80 degree weather!! This is a 5 day cruise full of sunshine and great friends!!We are gonna scuba dive while in Cozumel and who knows what else!! At this point were counting down the days!! Just started packing and getting everything ready, I usually take way to much stuff but a girl never knows what she might NEED!!!
