Happy fathers day!

I know that not many fathers are bloggers and will never see all the nice things that we say about them !!
These pic are of my Dad and Aubrey {Pete} last month on the Guadalupe River in Texas !!
Mom and Dad spent a couple weeks visiting with family and friends and really had a great time..

When I got my new camera I gave my old one to mom, she loves it and I get to see the pic when they get back..

Dads' not feeling so good these days, not sure what is going on with him.. He just doesn't have the pep that he had last year (me either)

Tomorrow we are grilling at home for Fathers Day, then Mom, Dad and Eva Lauren are heading to Branson to meet with Aunt Pat Uncle James, Cecil and Sandy.

a quick post with scenic route paper!!!!!!!

I was going thru my stacks of paper and was inspired by this scenic route paper that Ive had a while... It only took a few min for these layouts.. how does that happen ?? Usually it takes me forever just to get started...

oh well, now its off to Mt Home to run some errands while Eva is in her Hopkito class..

 

 

 

tough love..

 

I'm seeking input about this tough love thing.. It seams that it is the toughest on me !!! My daughter is grounded AGAIN from her car, phone and computer.

We only wanted one thing from her.. Not to see the boy that has caused her to become a different person. She continues to meet with him whenever possible. So now we have gotten even tougher!!! I'm ready to cave in because I cant stand to see her so upset!! Now she is in the ANGER stage.. don't you know that we are having a great summer here!!!

My daughter is not a bad person, she is just struggling between being a child and an adult. Lord help us thru this phase.

Proximal Interphalangeal Joints

Darrell has his surgery scheduled for the 24!!! Its been 7 weeks waiting to have this done !! It will be done on an out patient basis just like everything in the medical field these days. We will spend the night in Springfield so we wont be so rushed with the long drive.

Darrell is so ready to get his hand fixed,,, he is still having allot of pain and will continue to have pain until the joint is stabilized.

People at work are teasing him that he "CUT" his hand just to take the summer off !!! Well there is surely better ways to take a vacation.

Dr Kubik is putting an artificial nuckle in his Proximal Interphalangeal joint. Its called PIP Arthroplasty. I cant wait till it in and healed !!!

I received the cutest letter from Caily in the mail this week. Among all the credit card statements, bills and junk mail Darrell and I both got a letter from one of our grand babies.
Grand babies really know how to make our days so special..(of course these are on the frig..)

We had such a great day on the lake today, it was one of those that you couldnt ask for better weather or company !! Darrell and I started out with a nice relaxing morning and latter Wayne, Bobbie and Mickey came and spent the afternoon with us.. The water is perfect, so clean and fresh. We anchored on a buoy just outside the wake zone and watch all the boats come in and out.

Good news !! Bad news!!

BAD NEWS!!

Your not gonna believe what has happened!!!! My computer, with thousands of photos went down during a lightning storm this past Sunday !!! It was on a surge protector !! I'm not sure if i can get any of them back,, Taking it to the shop this week to see what they can do with it, until then I'm using my laptop,, its just not the same..

GOOD NEWS!!!

My brother sold his house in Texas !!!! So he and his family are moving up this summer. The closing date is JULY 10 !!! Now they are looking for something here in BS or Flippin !!!

Ive been so busy playing on the lake and river when I'm not working that I haven't been scrapping lately. Today we are staying home and not doing much!!! that means that I can spend all day in my art room!!! I just live those days... The high is 73 today so I turned off the A/C and opened up the house for a breath of fresh air..

Working on a page of Dedrick, using a fancy pants overlay that ive had a while,boy it really hided the imperfections!!! and i have allot of them..

when Clint was asked what he wanted to do for his birthday he said I want to spend time with my family...so we did... we had a wonderful time fishing and playing at Cotter Springs,,,

Last weekend Brittany, Logan and Charis camped out in our back yard. They were so excited!! Brittany put up the tent and made a campfire for them to make smores and pop popcorn!! I love that Brittany is so active with her kids and is always looking for adventure..

Clintons birthday

 

Today Clinton turned 30 !!! We celebrated his birthday with a fishing trip to Cotter Springs and dinner at home with the entire family. We had a great time, dinner was excellent if I say so myself!! The gang ended the evening with karaoke in the rec room. We have a lot of great talent in the family. Clint really puts on a show for all of us to enjoy..
